- If you are the new owner of a domestic commercial vessel operating in Tasmanian coastal waters, you must notify Marine and Safety Tasmania by lodging an application form (PDF, 142KB) at a service centre.
- The form must be signed by both the buyer and the seller. There is no fee to lodge the application.
- You must have a certificate of operation from the Australian Maritime Safety Authority before you apply to change the ownership. Providing a certificate of survey is optional.
