  • You must have an auto gas-fitting practitioner licence to carry out automotive gas-fitting work or if you work for a business that installs, services and/or repairs automotive and stationary gas fuel systems.
  • The licence restricts you to performing gas-fitting on mobile and stationary engines. It does not cover other kinds of gas-fitting.

    About renewing an auto gas-fitting practitioner licence

    You cannot renew a licence that expired more than 60 days ago. You must submit a new application.

    If your licence expired more than 2 years ago, you will also need to provide your qualifications with your application. This is to assess your suitability to work in the industry since you were last licensed.
