About applying for, replacing or varying a hunting licence
You must apply for a new hunting licence each year.
Use the same application form to apply for, replace or vary a hunting licence. You can also apply online.
You can hunt using your receipt as evidence of having purchased a hunting licence prior to receiving your hunting licence card for all species including male deer, in which case you must have your male deer tag.
You need a male deer tag to hunt deer during the adult male deer open season. You must apply online at least 2 weeks before you want to start hunting during the open season to allow time for the tag to arrive.
You can select which species you would like to hunt. The selected species will be included under a single hunting licence.
Your licence card will have a unique licence number. You need this number to replace or vary your licence.
