Apply for a permit to collect firewood

Key info

• You must have a permit to collect firewood in Sustainable Timber Tasmania forests.
• You can apply for a firewood permit online, or in person at a Sustainable Timber Tasmania office, or at the Queenstown service centre.
• Permit holders must not collect more than 30 cubic metres of firewood in one year and must not sell their firewood.
• Firewood can be collected in areas chosen by Sustainable Timber Tasmania. You will receive a map of the area(s) where you can collect firewood when you receive your permit.
