  • Complaints can be made by anyone who lives in Tasmania, or if the product or service provider operates in Tasmania.
  • Before making a complaint you must contact the seller or service provider and communicate the issue, and send them a letter. A sample letter is available (Word, 35KB). You must keep all your receipts, quotes, letters, photos and emails relating to the problem. And keep notes of any conversations with the business or their sales person, such as the name of the person you spoke with, dates of any meetings and what was discussed.
  • You can make a complaint about a product or service to Consumer, Building and Occupational Services if the issue cannot be resolved.
