Apply for the first home buyer duty concession

• The first home buyer duty concession provides a 50% discount on property transfer duty fees for first home buyers of an established home.
• To apply you must submit an application form (PDF, 399KB) with all supporting documents by email to dutyhelp@treasury.tas.gov.au, or by post to The Commissioner of State Revenue, GPO Box 1374, Hobart 7001.
• You can also drop the application and supporting documents in person to the Ground floor 'Drop Box', Salamanca Building Parliament Square, 4 Salamanca Place, Hobart.
• Anyone who gets the first home buyer duty concession must live in the house for 6 months, beginning within 12 months of buying the property.
