About applying for a replacement student bus pass for free travel
Until 30 June 2027, students can travel on public buses free of charge without needing a bus pass.
Free travel applies to:
- adult, concession, urban, non-urban, and child/student/adult student bus fares
- general access services operated by Metro Tasmania, Tassielink Transit, Kinetic, Manions Coaches, Calows Coaches and Area Connect.
- all government contracted school bus services that charge a fare

You can apply for a replacement if you hold a current student pass for free travel.
Proving your identity
You do not need to prove your identity.
How much it costs
Replacing a lost, stolen or damaged bus pass costs $11.
Faulty bus passes can be replaced free of charge, but you must hand the faulty card in at a service centre.
